WhatsApp confirmations are now live
Starting today, TalkPixie customers can send automated WhatsApp confirmation messages to anyone who books through the platform.
Why we built this
No-shows are expensive. When a lead books an appointment and then doesn't show up, you've lost time, potentially blocked a slot a paying customer could have used, and have to restart the qualification process.
The most effective no-show reduction strategy we've seen in our customer data is a simple confirmation message sent 24 hours before the appointment, with a one-tap confirmation button. It feels personal, it's easy to respond to, and it catches people who forgot they had something scheduled.
We already offered this via SMS. WhatsApp reaches more people in more markets — particularly outside the US — and has a higher open rate than SMS for business messages.
How it works
When a lead books through TalkPixie — via the AI agent, the booking link, or a manual entry — they can now receive:
1. An instant booking confirmation via WhatsApp immediately after scheduling
2. A reminder with a confirm button 24 hours before the appointment
3. A last-minute reminder 1 hour before (optional)
If a lead confirms via WhatsApp, their status updates in your TalkPixie dashboard automatically. If they don't confirm, you can configure TalkPixie to attempt a follow-up call.
Turning it on
Go to Settings → Notifications → WhatsApp. Connect your business WhatsApp number (or use our shared sender if you don't have one set up). Toggle on the message types you want to send, and customize the message copy if needed.
That's it. New bookings made after enabling the setting will automatically receive WhatsApp confirmations.
What to expect
In our beta, customers using WhatsApp confirmations saw no-show rates drop by an average of 34%. The biggest impact was in the 24-hour reminder — leads who confirmed via that message showed up at a 94% rate.
The feature is available on all plans. WhatsApp message costs are included in your TalkPixie subscription.
